We are called to make disciples of all the nations
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you” Matt 28:19,20
Historically, God’s people make disciples more effectively when they are scattered rather than when they build bunkers “Therefore, those who had been scattered went about preaching the word.” Acts 8:4
There is evidence that new congregations are over 30 times more effective at sharing the news of Jesus than congregations which have been established for longer than 10 years
Churches who plant new congregations, instead of losing members, actually experience increase as they need to train new leaders and continue to share their faith.
The vigorous, continual planting of new congregations is the single most crucial strategy for the numerical growth of the body of Christ in any city, and the continual corporate renewal and revival of the existing churches in a city. - Tim Keller
